Fan Feedback

Hi All!

Hope you're all having a wonderful 2015 so far! Let's hope it's a good one!

I've recently been receiving some e-mails from people who have listened to some of my tunes and enjoyed them, and so since I have never received any feedback like this, I really wanted to share it! So here's what some of you have been saying...

“I will be waiting for the next fabulous tune!
Much respect to U.”

-Doyle

“’At Your Door Stop’ What a good tune. Much respect and admiration. It’s a blessing to hear something like this when one starts to think: are we really inspired enough these days?
Thank You!”

-Miranda

“Michael!!

.. And you do!!!”

-Collette H

Hey! I love the track was this my romance? One you can hear over and over,

-Mui C

“Hello Michael, thanks for the fresh voice, lyrics, and music. You're a true star - I mean the bright kind in the sky!”

-Dennis A

“Michael! I love your music, by the way! I like ‘Come To Me’.

I just enjoy this song that I would turn up the radio in my car and sing as loud as I can, I don't care who's watching me.”

-Nora G

“Hey Michael, I'm so excited!!!!! Love the tunes on N1M and have added to my faves, can't wait to hear the rest.”

-Alicia C

“Well, I like ‘Was This My Romance?’”

-Martha D

I just want to take the time to say a MASSIVE thank you for listening in the first place, and for sending me such lovely messages! I can't tell you what a joy it is to wake up to these e-mails! So many thanks to all of you and stay tuned for some more tunes!

Big love!
Michael / Georgie

PS. Just a quick note about my name, as some of you may have noticed that sometimes it says Michael Brown, and other places it says Georgie Brown. Just to clarify, I use both of these names professionally, however I will be phasing out 'Michael Brown' just to confuse matters! The reason is, is that 'George' is my middle name and as I will soon have some poetry published, I preferred not to use my real name. I hope that makes sense!

Happy New Year and 2015 Update

Hello to all!

Hope you all had a great festive time and new year!

I've been so busy promoting my new 'Confessions..' blog that I completely forgot about this one! So, I thought I would give you all an update on what has been happening since I last posted!

So, creatively speaking, it has been all go! I've recently re-discovered my passion for the written word, and have found myself poetically inspirationally drenched so to speak. Needless to say, I now have a new blog called 'Confessions of the Beautifully Average...Musings of a Thirtysomething' (aptly named after one of my music albums), which has all the poetry I have written recently, and also little posts on my life experiences and observations. So do check it out at:

www.cotba.wordpress.com

And things have been going so well with the writing, that all being well, one of my pieces is to be published this March in 'The Journal', which is extremely exciting.

Music wise, things have been a lot quieter, and in all honesty, I haven't had the time or the inspiration to write any new material for quite some time. I had started work on a new project, titled 'Grit and Starlings', which is a concept album, however this has been and is continuing to be a slow process. That aside, despite the lack of new material, some of my older tracks are currently doing quite well! As it stands, I'm currently riding a wave of musical popularity with two of my tracks charting highly in various on-line charts, including:

N1M Chart:

'Was This My Romance?' Currently at Number 7 for UK folk and Number 34 for global folk!

Two other tracks, namely 'At Your Door Stop' and 'Come To Me' are also in the lower echelons but steadily climbing (Numbers 616 and 318 respectively).

ReverbNation

'Honestly' Currently at Number 20 in the Brighton folk charts (having previously been Top 5 at Number 5!)

As well as that, I have received some lovely fan e-mails about my songs which is a first for me! So, all being well, I'm going to try and get moving with some new tunes, and once I have left Brighton, I shall be purchasing some recording equipment so I can actually get some decent recordings out there!

And that is where I am currently at!

So, wishing you all a very happy and healthy 2015, and I shall see you all soon!

Cover Song

Hello all!

So, I've been thinking about doing a cover version for quite sometime and was hoping to get some ideas off you!

There are so many great songs out there and it is proving difficult to choose one! So, have you any ideas? Either comment on here with suggestions, on my Facebook Band profile page, or my ReverbNation page at www.reverbnation.com/michaelbrown.

Big Loves!

Well on Saturday I met with my fellow musician pal Pavel... And I can confirm that we have our first official music session this Friday!

We will be working on a piano arrangement of my track "Let Me Know Pt2". Pavel has got some great ideas and I'm really looking forward to hearing the results! I'll keep you posted! #excited

Updated Blog, Reverbnation News and New Music

Hello,
It's been five years since I have been on or updated this blog, and I think it's been long enough! So I have updated a few details on here and thought I would share what has been and will be going on with my music.

So first of all, I would like to mention that since I joined ReverbNation years ago, I have gradually uploaded some songs, and after a lot (and I mean A LOT) of promotion, I have managed to reach a recent high in the Brighton Folk charts of Number 5, with my lead song 'Honestly', which is bloody fantastic!!! Thanks to all the people who have listened to my songs and visited my profile, I've nearly reached 1000 views and 300 listens, as well as gaining 67 new fans! It's been a really successful last 12 months for me on ReverbNation, with some new fans being musicians themselves who also happen to be producing some excellent music, such as Simon Allan (http://www.reverbnation.com/simonallan) and Damh The Bard (http://www.reverbnation.com/damhthebard), so do check these guys out.

Furthermore, I will be working with my good friend Pavel this year on producing some piano arrangements of some of my current songs, as well as writing some new material. This will hopefully lead to doing some gigs in the very near future! I can also tell you, that hopefully I'll be recording a cover of 'Didn't Wanna Have To Do It' by The Lovin' Spoonful, which I am very excited about!

So check out my profile on http://www.reverbnation.com/michaelbrown to listen to some of my tunes, and keep looking out for new uploads, as there will be some coming soon!

Hope to see you soon at some gigs!

New Album

Hey guys.

Although i'm in the process of recording my first 5 albums, i've just started a new project recording a live album called 'Mish-Mash', which will feature live performances of songs off my first 7 albums. Hopefully it should be completed by the end of the year, but i will keep you updated.

Peace,
Mike
